Lil Flip Helps Middle School Stabbing Victim Cope With Bullying
A middle school student in Colorado Springs, Colo. was getting bullied for not being able to wear shoes, and when his favorite rapper heard about it, let's just say it was "Game Over."
Young Kyler Davila was recently stabbed in the hallway of his middle school, suffering a collapsed lung, but while he was laid up in the hospital, he received a visit from his favorite rapper—Lil Flip. You can watch the Fox 21 News report on their meeting above.
The sixth grade student was getting made fun of for being unable to wear regular sneakers and decided to start collecting pairs of shoes to give to other kids like him. “I had three pairs of shoes donated to me, because I was being bullied about my shoes and I really liked the feeling and I didn’t want other kids to get bullied because of their shoes and I wanted other kids to have that same feeling, so I started collecting them for other kids,” Kyler told Fox 21.
Lil Flip was in town for a show and heard he had a big fan doing great things for kids, so he stopped by the hospital to give Kyler a visit. The Houston rapper will be donating shoes to the middle schooler from his own shoe line. If you want to help the kid out, you can drop off pairs of kicks at a collection box at WP Nation at 2509 Platte Place Suite A in Colorado Springs.
