Lil Wayne Owes His Lawyer $300,000 in Unpaid Fees

Lil Wayne's debt is racking up and his latest issue involves a lawsuit filed against him by his lawyer, Michael B. Kramer. The New York Daily News reports that Weezy owes his lawyer $300,000 and is behind on payments, according to a lawsuit filed Monday (March 14) in Manhattan federal court.

Kramer claims in his suit that Wayne agreed in Dec. 2015 to pay a $350,000 outstanding legal fee in $20,000 installments. After laying down $50,000 up front, the ColleGrove rapper paid the agreed upon $20,000 in December and January but has not made his February payment as of press time.

The suit comes a month after the IRS filed a report that the New Orleans native owes $12.8 million and has been hit with a tax lien of nearly $900,000. According to The Jasmine Brand, the IRS filed a lien against Wayne in Florida on Feb. 1 for failing to pay right around $900,000 in taxes in 2014. The $900 grand adds to the nearly $6 million Weezy failed to pay in 2011 and the $6.3 million in 2012.

In Nov. 2015, police seized art from his Miami Beach home for a $2 million debt he owed   to Signature Group, a private jet company, as part of a lawsuit he lost. Later that month, the MC put his private skate park up for collateral and took out a $1.5 million loan to help pay off Signature Group.

While the IRS looks to get money from Wayne, the rapper is hoping to win a hefty lawsuit against Birdman. Last January, Weezy filed a $51 million suit against Cash Money Records, claiming that the label and Birdman owe him tens of millions after violating his deal and delaying the release of Tha Carter V.
