Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ Debuts at #1, Selling Over an Estimated 1 Million Copies First Week

Last week, we all laughed at Lil Wayne's choice of pants (pictured above) as he closed out the MTV VMAs, but today Weezy is definitely having the last laugh... all the way to the bank. Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' has debuted at #1 and sold over an estimated 1,000,000 copies in the first week of it's release!

What makes this even more special is that the last hip hop album to do this was Weezy's 'Tha Carter III' back in 2008.

Young Money's Mack Maine took to Twitter to shout out everyone who went out and bought one or more copies of the Carter 4 album this past week.

Final numbers drop tomorrow. Who's watchin' the throne now?
