
Louisiana Animal Rescue Recreates Jailbreak With Shelter Dogs in Viral Video
NEW ORLEANS, LA (KPEL)—Animal Rescue New Orleans decided to find humor in the recent Orleans Parish jailbreak that has everyone talking.

Friday, May 16th, ten inmates breached a wall behind a toilet and escaped. So far, five inmates have been located and taken into custody; the fifth was captured Tuesday.
Now, five inmates remain at large.
Animal Rescue New Orleans' Mission
After Hurricane Katrina, Jane Garrison and two of her close friends made it their mission to reunite families with their lost pets.
Little did they know, it would eventually turn into a full-blown rescue.
Since 2006, they have found loving homes for 13,000 animals, and counting.

Viral TikTok Video Recreates Jailbreak
In the viral TikTok video, Animal Rescue New Orleans staff staged the most adorable jailbreak starring some of their rescues at the shelter.
They even went as far as mimicking the graffiti that the inmates drew on the cell wall above the hole they escaped through.
The comments section was flooded with laughs from locals. Lauren H. wrote, “New Orleans is so unserious. I’m never leaving,” while @Breeee joked, “We’re not a real place, man".
Over 200 law enforcement officers from all levels, local to federal, are working to locate the remaining inmates.

The short 15-second video showcases Teddy, Apple's Puppies, Midge, Cheddar, and the show's star, Green Lantern.
Commenters immediately pointed out that he deserves a do-over, an attempt without the cone of shame.
While the FBI and local law enforcement work tirelessly to locate the remaining escapees, Animal Rescue New Orleans is helping locals find the humor in the chaos.
