Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne is closing all Louisiana state offices tomorrow Wednesday, February 17, 2021, due to the state's impending weather event.

Louisiana has seen record low temperatures over the past few days and there's more cold and rain on the way tomorrow afternoon. Dardenne has asked state agency department heads to determine those deemed essential and have only those individuals report to work. Department heads will also determine alternate locations for some essential workers.

Dardenne says the mandatory stay-at-home mandate is for nonessential workers and those currently working from home.

The Commissioner is asking all state workers to continue to check for updates as the current situation is liquid and could change fast.

Mr. Dardenne is asking that all Louisiana state employees continue to check for updates as the second brutal cold front heads into the region by calling 1.800.360.9660 or 225.342.0498.
