Louisiana Trader Joe’s Donates 5 Tons Of Food In Power Outage

Americans throw away enough food to feed a third world country. The inclement weather that recently moved through the Bayou State caused a Trader Joe's in Metairie to lose power. Rather than let all the perishable food on hand go to waste, management called Second Harvest Food Bank. Second harvest sent four trucks to pick up the donation. The 10,000 pounds of food will be distributed to families in 23 Louisiana Parishes.
