LSU Students Who Don't Comply With Vax Mandate Will Be Unenrolled

Louisiana State University is taking the coronavirus pandemic seriously and in August notified their 25,856 students they planned to implement a vaccine mandate in the Fall. In an effort to notify and give students time to adjust to the new health and safety protocols the university sent out individual emails, posted forth-coming mandate rules and protocols online, and took to social media to get the word out.

According to emails sent out on Wednesday this week, LSU administrators once again reminded students who did not comply yet, time was running out. WBRZ reported the LSU said as of Aug. 25 that roughly 81% (25,000 students) of the universities student body had reported their vaccination status. Those stats aren't too bad, but that still means 1/3 (10,000 +) will be unenrolled by day's end. They are not alone. More than 700 colleges and universities across the country have COVID mandates, with the list growing by the day.

Any students citing health or religious reasons for not getting vaccinated must request an exemption waiver online. In addition, those students who fail to report proof of vaccination status, documentation of receiving their first vaccine shot, or provide COVID test results by today (Sept. 10) will be "unenrolled from LSU and receive a prorated tuition refund."
