Madonna Approves Of Lady Gaga

Many people are accusing Lady Gaga of ripping off Madonna on her new song "Born This Way, " but Gaga explained to Jay Leno that the similarity comes from admiration. Gaga said in the interview, "There is really no one that is more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me. I am the hugest fan personally and professionally." Lady Gaga also said she received a note from Madonna, who did not have a problem with the comparison. It said "Well, the good news is that I got an e mail from her people and her, sending me their love and complete support on behalf of the single, and if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be."

On a side note, Billboard is projecting that 3 days after the release, "Born this Way" will debut on top of the singles chart. Also, according to Nielsen BDS, her new single sold 450,000 digital downloads, the biggest debut ever for a track by a female artist. It was also the fourth largest digital track download debut ever.
