I-10 Closed In Duson Due To Major Fire, Evacuation Ordered [VIDEO]

There is a major fire in Duson, right off the interstate.

Initial reports suggest that this is at a chemical plant in Duson, which is right off of I-10. We will keep you updated here as information becomes available.

Traffic is slowly moving on the interstate and you should avoid the area.

UPDATE:

-Evacuation zone reduced to one mile north of the Flowchem plant in Duson

- Hazmat is evacuating west side Mire Hwy from I10 to Solder Rd. Please avoid the area until further notice.

- I-10 East and Westbound lanes from MM 87-92 are now closed due to fire. Detour and avoid the area.
