Major Movie Set to Film in Lafayette Holding Auditions on Monday for Extras
Have you always wanted to be in a movie but have no clue how to get started? Then how about starting out by being an extra?
A movie called A Sort of Homecoming will be filming in Lafayette this month and is in need of extras. The open casting call is being held on Monday, February 3rd from 4pm-8pm at the Staybridge Hotel at 128 E. Kaliste Saloom Rd here in Lafayette.
You must be at least 18 years old and will need to bring a recent photo. If you cannot make the audition, you still have a chance. Send in your name and a recent photo to homecomingextras@gmail.com.
By the way, the movie's award-winning screenplay is written by Lafayette native Lynn Reed. The film prominently features Lafayette and the world of high school speech and debate.
The film features several well-known young actors, including Laura Marano of the Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally,” Katherine McNamara from “Kickin It” and Shayne Topp from “So Random.”
Remember, once you make it big, don't forget the "little people" who got you where you are! (We just want to come hang at your crib in the Hills, no biggie.)
