Man Arrested After Shooting in Baton Rouge Walmart
The man wanted in the shooting from a Baton Rouge Walmart is in police custody.
Gabriel Francis is in custody according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. While officials thought that he may be in the Lafayette area, Francis was apprehended in Indianapolis.
Francis is accused of taking a deputies gun during a confrontation in the store earlier in the week and thus was wanted for attempted first-degree murder of a police officer, resisting an officer, disarming a police officer, theft, felon in possession of a firearm and battery of a police officer.
The LSP Task Force and U.S. Marshall's Office played a role in locating Francis in Indianapolis
