A Thibodaux man charged with killing and dismembering his 7-year-old, disabled son was found not guilty by reason of insanity this morning.

According to WDSU in New Orleans, Judge John Leblanc committed Jeremiah Wright, 32, to the East Louisiana Mental Health System in Jackson, La., for the Aug. 14, 2011 murder of Jori Lirette.

Lirette, who had cerebral palsy, was committed to a wheelchair and fed through feeding tubes. WDSU reported that Wright told psychologists he believed his son "was a robot or CPR dummy put into his home as a government experiment to teach him about life."

Wright was found fit to stand trial in November after spending most of 2013 in the mental hospital to which he's now committed.
