A man was hoping to have a delicious fried chicken lunch, but instead opened his box to find $4,500 in cash.

James Minor rolled through a Bojangles drive-thru in Henrico County, VA to order a fried chicken lunch. His food was cold when he received his meal, so he asked for fresh chicken.

When he received his order, he found a huge surprise.

His chicken box was filled with a stack of cash.

When I opened the box up, the BoJangles chicken box, there was probably close to $4,500 in cash and also SunTrust deposit slips

According to WTVR, Minor immediately pulled out his cell phone to video his discovery as proof. He did the honest thing and returned the money, explaining what happened to the manager, but the manager was anything but grateful or polite.

Instead of praising the man for the good deed, he proceeded to let him know that if he hadn't returned the money they would have "called the authorities" on him. The man was eventually offered a free meal and a tailgate party, but Minor says it wasn't about getting free food.

I deserve respect, an apologetic letter from the Bojangles’ company and probably a cash reward
