This is the story of how one man whose phone was stolen in New York became famous overseas. Not only did he become a celebrity in China, he became friends with the man who ended up with his phone.

This is one heck of a journey for Matt Stopera that all started out in February 2014, all because his iPhone got stolen. According to Buzzfeed, he put his phone on the restaurant table and started drinking. He got so drunk that he had forgotten about his iPhone (hey, it happens.) Matt said it probably gotten stolen in the mist of his haze.

Whatever, he moved on to the next phone.

He didn't want to go to the Apple store, as he thought the pictures would eventually stop. Well they didn't. More and more pictures began showing up. Matt eventually got used to the pictures showing, he said it was like a glimpse into the strange man's life.

Matt still had no idea who this man was or where he lived. Matt had lunch with one of his good friends one day and started talking about the pictures. His friend had mentioned that most stolen iPhones end up in China and told Matt to go to the Apple store to get it fixed.

He went to the Apple store the next day and finally found out the pics were coming from his old iCloud network. He also discovered that the pics were coming from China. The Apple store fixed it, but Matt was sad about not having those new photos appearing any more.  He thought that was the end... wrong!

The people of China had read his story and found the man in Guangdong, China who had Matt's phone. To see all the people that helped him CLICK HERE, it's crazy. You can say Matt was an insta-celebrity with 60 million new fans. WOW!

That's not the end of the story, as Matt finally met the man he calls 'Bro Orange' and they became best friends. For all the pics from Matt's Journey CLICK HERE.
