9:30AM – 585 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases In Louisiana, Acadiana Total Up To 11
The Louisiana Department of Health issued its 9:30 a.m. update for Saturday, March 21st.
There are now 585 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. 1230 tests have been completed by state labs and 1535 tests have been reported by commercial labs.
Evangeline Parish is reporting their first confirmed case of COVID-19. This brings the grand total of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region to 11.
Lafayette Parish: 6
St. Landry Parish: 2
Iberia Parish: 2
Evangeline Parish: 1
There is more widespread representation throughout the state as 29 of the 64 parishes now have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 16. New Orleans continues to be the hardest-hit area of the state. The next update is due out this afternoon at 5:30 p.m.
