Mariah Carey Butchered Her Song at the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Last Night [Video/Audio]

Last night on the TV was the annual Lighting of the Rockefeller Christmas Tree special thingamabob.

All was a usual magical holiday television special...until Mariah Carey sang.

She kind of butchered her performance of "All I Want For Christmas Is You". Some will say, "hey, at least she was actually singing!"

Not so fast. You be the judge as to if she was actually "singing".

OK, so that actually doesn't sound too bad. Now listen to some of her isolated vocals and then judge again.

Mariah perhaps could have avoided this little situation had she showed up earlier in the day to pre-record the performance. Instead she left everyone waiting for three hours.

There was one report that she was meeting with her divorce attorney and another report says she didn't show up because it was raining. When she eventually showed up, producers sent her home.

She later tweeted that the situation on Tuesday was, "beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you."
