Crowd Faces Hospital Window Of Shooting Victim During Vigil

Crowds gathered in the parking lot of Lourdes to pray for a Comeaux High student in critical condition.

Matthew Carter was shot during an attempted robbery over this past weekend and is currently fighting for his life. Friends, family and loved ones gathered last night to pray for a miracle and it was an emotional moment to witness. Our media partners at KATC were there to capture the moment on video.

Matthew's sister, Nichole, took to Facebook and shared an update on behalf of her family, detailing what happened when two other teenagers shot her brother over his car during an attempted robbery.

Matt worked at Pizza Artista in Broussard and the local restaurant shared their own heartfelt message on their official Facebook page, describing the energy that Matt brought to every customer he interacted with.
