Miranda Lambert Gives the Backstory on ‘Tiger King’ Pic
Miranda Lambert doesn't usually come first to mind when I think of controversy, but she, like all of us, has had her moments. And yesterday was one of them. The Texas country star, and famous animal lover, posted some pictures on her Instagram and Twitter pages of the gang from the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma. Also known as the stars of the Netflix docu-series 'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness'
It was obvious by the comments on the photo, that people were not happy with her association with zookeeper and convicted felon Joe Exotic. He was convicted, among other things, of nine counts of violating the Endangered Species Act. I mean, her Mutt Nation Foundation has raised millions of dollars, and helped thousands of dogs, so I really don't think at the time that she knowingly was fraternizing with an animal abuser. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, and you can read her explanation of the picture below.
