Mississippi Man On The U.S. Marshal’s 15 Most Wanted List
A Mississippi man is on the US Marshal’s 15 Most Wanted List. There have been possible sightings in Lafayette of Jacob Blair Scott who faked his own suicide to avoid jail time after he raped his 14-year old stepdaughter. Scott, 43, faces a 14-count indictment charging him with sexual battery, touching a child for lustful purposes, and exploitation of a child.
Scott was out on bond in July 2018, but he failed to show up for a court hearing. Authorities found his abandoned dinghy off the coast of Orange Beach, Alabama and his body was never located. The police found a gun and a suicide note with little evidence indicating a suicide.
Scott is a white male, 5-10”, weighing 225 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos of a machete knife, scorpion, and a compass with feathers. He is a military veteran with survivalist training.
Multiple possible sightings of Scott in Mississippi, Louisiana, Colorado, and Nevada have been reported.
The US Marshals have announced they are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for any information leading to this man’s arrest. If you have any information or have seen Scott, you should immediately call 1-877-WANTED-2 or visit www.usmarshals.gov/tips.
