Jay-Z’s 4:44 album has been praised by both critics and fans alike for it’s honesty and thought-provoking lyrics. Television personality Monica Lewinsky also sang the praises of Hov’s album in her Vanity Fair article, which was published on Wednesday (July 19).

In the article, she writes about famous male celebrities like Brad Pitt and Prince Harry who recently have been forthcoming with some of their personal issues they have been dealing with. For example, in a GQ article, Pitt detailed the mistakes he has made both in his marriage with Angelina Jolie and the choices he made in his life.

In the case of JAY-Z, he addresses his mistakes in his marriage to Beyoncé on the title track and "Kill JAY-Z." Lewinsky feels that with Hov revealing his shortcomings in his life it shows the importance of male vulnerability.

"He chose a path of candor that will - like Brad’s and Prince Harry’s - move the conversation forward and help others," she writes. "It is a refreshing and bracing antidote to see male icons convey vulnerability in an age when Washington’s new power elite and our coarsening culture are busy projecting an outmoded caricature of manhood, 24/7."

"As we wrestle with gender roles and relationships between the sexes -- and see issues of sexism running rampant from the tech world to politics -- it’s heartening to see a crack in the implicit contract among men, their emotions, and society at large," she adds.

JAY-Z's "vulnerability" has paid off for him. 4:44 is the No. 1 album in the country and earned him a platinum plaque. The rap mogul will bring his honesty on a 31-city tour in October.
