Motorists Attempt to Save Man in Burning Car [VIDEO]
A crash in Canada left a man in a dangerous situation.
According to a Tweet from the Ontario Provincial Police, a motorist had a medical event that caused him to crash his vehicle.
As a result of the crash, the vehicle caught fire while the driver was trapped inside. Watch as passers-by attempt to save his life.
The crash happened on Queen Elizabeth Way in Ontario when the 36-year-old man suffered a medical event and crashed his car.
The crash resulted in damage to the car, including the driver's side, rendering the driver's exterior door handle inoperative. The crash also caused the vehicle to catch fire.
As motorists stopped to help, attempts were made to break the driver's window, to no avail, until one motorist appeared with a hammer.
According to the Tweet from the Ontario Provincial Police, the crash happened on July 4th which, in Canada, fell on the "Canada Day" Weekend.
Many commenting on the Tweet are thankful for the heroes who stopped to render aid that day because, let's face it: if it were you or me in that car, I'm sure we'd both want someone to stop and help us, right?
The Twitter user above doesn't want Tamara Lich to get out of jail, but they want EVERYONE to stop and render aid when they come upon a situation like this.
On a recent weekend trip to Canada, we did notice that the majority of Canadians were very nice, especially in traffic. It is no surprise to me that so many people stopped to assist the motorist.
One Twitter user, a retired firefighter, gave some tips on how to break out a window in this situation.
A news crew caught up with one of the men who stopped to render aid, asking them about how they eventually extracted the injured man from the burning vehicle.
If you come across a "fresh" crash, please consider stopping to render aid.
