It is not unusual for some of our towns and communities across Louisiana to be named on some random national list. We've been recognized for our amazing food, local and regional cuisine, and awesome festivals time after time. But we are especially proud when one of our Acadiana cities gets some national recognition.

Congratulations to New Iberia, who landed on the list of "The South's Most Tasteful Small Towns" in the upcoming issue of Forbes magazine. The article in Forbes states that their annual list is filled with smaller communities that are known for traditional and down home favorites, but still manage to be on the cutting edge of the culinary world.

New Iberia joins Natchez, Mississippi, Dunwoody, Georgia, Greenville, South Carolina, Franklin, Tennessee, Asheville, North Carolina, and Duck, Outer Banks North Carolina on the list of southern favorites.

Some of the eateries being recognized in Da Berry include Jane's Seafood and Chinese Restaurant, Restaurant1868 at Tabasco on Avery Island, Duffy's Diner, Bon Creole, Preservation Bar and Grill, Legnon's Boucherie, and Fudge It.

Read the entire article from Forbes, and stop by one of your favorites places to dine in New Iberia soon!
