New Orleans will stay in Phase two, that's the word from Mayor LaToya Cantrell. Despite the Governor's announcement Thursday to move the state to Phase three, New Orleans will remain in phase two going against the opinion of many locals and business owners.

According to WDSU, Cantrell said she couldn't move the city of New Orleans to phase three until she reviewed Governor John Bel Edwards' plan. Her decision to move NOLA to phase three would depend on the data outlined in the Governor's plan.

Cantrell said the priority for the city right now is getting students back into schools.
