Nicki Minaj Debuts ‘Chi-Raq’ With Lil Herb
Chicago’s drill scene has been in the spotlight as of late thanks to Chief Keef and various documentaries. Nicki Minaj jumps on an eerie drill track called 'Chi-Raq,' which features Windy City rhymer Lil Herb.
Over a sinister beat provided by Boi-1da, Vinylz and Allen Ritter, the Queen Barbz spits bullet-riddled rhymes at her detractors and addresses the recent controversy over her 'Lookin' Ass N----' cover.
"Malcolm X’s daughter came at me / Lookin' ass n----s ain’t happy," she raps, adding, "I f--- with real trap n----s / Pop star, icon, but I send n----s to come snatch n----s."
Herb follows up with more ammo spitting bars about guns, gangs and his love for his violent-prone city.
Before the song ends, Minaj warns that she has more music coming for the haters. "I always got a trick up my sleeve," she says. "I might give you a new trick every week until this album drops. I don't know, I figured they wanted some more."
After dropping 'Lookin' Ass N----' and 'Senile,' it's safe to say that Minaj is on a lyrical war path. Rest assured, she's going to bring some heat on her new album 'The Pink Print,' which is due later this year.
