Notre Dame was heavily damaged by a fire back on April 15th. Being one of the most revered structures in the world, there was talk of how to go about restoring the cathedral. Will it be updated to fit modern times? Will it be rebuilt in the same style, but look different?

The French Senate let it be known their thoughts, as they have elected to restore the legendary cathedral to it's "last known visual state."

The bill passed by the French Senate will allow reconstruction on the cathedral to be completed in time for the 2024 Summer Olympics that will be held in Paris.

Notre Dame attracts more than 12 million people a year. Original construction took 100 years to complete, starting in 1160 and finishing in 1260. Numerous modifications were done to the cathedral throughout the years.
