Who's ready for winter?

As we approach the final weeks of summer, many across south Louisiana are already talking about winter.

Summer months in the deep south can be brutal, thus that is why I think many look forward to cooler months as we approach the end of summer.

And speaking of the summer months, it sure has been a wet season in Louisiana, and we will look at the 2023 sumemr forecast in just a few.

So, what will winter in the deep south be like this year? Will the winter months be really cold, wet, or mild?

According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, which many still trust when it comes to weather forecasting, those of us in the deep south could see a cold/dry winter.

For our friends just north of Acadiana, the almanac is calling for a cold/snowy winter.

Here's the 2022-23 winter forecast for the entire country, from The Old Farmer's Almanac.

Do you like what you see?

Not to look too forward ahead, but the forecast for our 2023 summer looks to be much like what he are expereincing in 2022. According to the almanac, in 2023, summer here will be warm/rainy again.

Disclaimer: The Old Farmer's Almanac does not claim to be 100% accuarate, but they do say that they are about 80% accuate with their forecasts.
