Orange Beach, Alabama is a great place to visit. I am sure it's a nice place to live too. Okay, it's probably not as nice of a place to be when spring break crowds turn the quiet Alabama coastline into a non-stop party.

Because of that, the City of Orange Beach has posted a strongly worded warning to spring break guests on their website.

If you are looking for a party town, the City of Orange Beach is not it.

Underage drinking, illegal drug use, disorderly conduct or any other breach of the peace will not be tolerated. If you choose to violate the law, you will go to jail. THIS IS YOUR WARNING.

I am pretty sure they are serious about this. Orange Beach enjoys a reputation as a family getaway beach destination. The city's attractions lean toward family-friendly fun and not rowdy bawdy behavior.

If you're thinking about moving the party a few miles west to Gulf Shores Alabama, you can pretty much expect the same kind of sentiment as far as over the top debauchery is concerned.  Both Orange Beach and Gulf Shores will have alcohol bans on the beach in force again this year.

Here's what Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon posted about spring break and rowdy behavior on his Facebook Page.

So, we are all pretty clear about this now? Go, have fun, be respectful, and leave nothing but your footprints on the beach. It's funny how when you get older that's really all you need for a good time and it's so much easier to recover from, isn't it?
