Kanye West has been outspoken when it comes to showing support for people and things that may upset the general public, and it appears his comments as a "free thinker" have made him as lightning rod in society once again. Pamela Anderson, who is a longtime friend of West, penned a heartfelt letter asking for his public support of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. She claims Assange is being tortured.

The former Baywatch star claims Assange is being tortured inside London's Ecuadorian Embassy in a letter obtained by TMZ. "I was wondering your thoughts on Julian Assange," she began. "I know you value free speech. Visibility is good for him, especially in America. Where they are trying to put him away for life or worse for exposing corruption in governments. I think they are trying to kill him. It is torture."

She goes on to expose the WikiLeaks founder's unsanitary living conditions in London. "He’s been locked in a small room for almost 6 years in London at the Ecuadorian Embassy. And He now can have no visitors. No Phone calls or internet. They are squeezing him."

"I want to seek more voices and share more about his fight. Public support could set him free. I’ve always supported your ‘no filter’ - you speak your mind. And you make an impact," Anderson concludes letting Yeezy know she believes he'd admire Assange's mentality.

Assange is currently exiled at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London after the U.S. government concluded that he aided Russia in hacking emails from the Democratic National Convention during the 2016 election.

Kanye, however, already has a lot on his plate as he's returned to Wyoming, finishing up the five albums he's preparing to release between later this month and June. Let's see if the Playboy model's comments get on Ye's radar and prompt him to take action.

Kanye West is yet to comment on Pam's letter or Assange. Check out the letter at TMZ.
