Officials with the Abbeville Police Department are looking for the person responsible for a shooting that happened Tuesday night on South State Street.

Abbeville Police Police Department Spokesman Lieutenant Jonathan Touchet says, via press release, that they were called out to the 800 block of South State Street after getting a call that someone heard some shots.

The victim is still dealing with serious issues related to the shooting that happened at around 10 o'clock that night.

Touchet says detectives do have some leads in the case, and they are investigating this case. He adds that police want more information about this shooting.

Detectives will not be revealing anymore information about this case as they still investigation all details of the shooting.
