We have all been there before. That one person who has ZERO common courtesy when it comes to talking on a cellphone. I'll be the first to admit, I am totally dependent on my cellphone but when it comes to obnoxiously loud conversations, there is definitely a time and a place. Unfortunately, Lakeysha Beard from Tigard, Oregon has learned that 16 hours was NOT a good time, and the "quiet car" on the Amtrak train was not a good place.

Beard was kicked off of an Amtrak train and charged with disorderly conduct after police said she got into a yelling match with fellow passengers after they complained that she had reportedly been talking on her cellphone since getting on the train in Oakland, CA. For nearly 16 hours, according to reports, Beard rudely carried on with her conversation with no regard for anyone else on the train, even after the train staff made repeated announcements for passengers to not use cellphones.

Beard was taken into custody until a family member could come and pick her up and stated in a follow-up interview that she was in fact blabbing away on her phone, but "she didn't understand why she had to be escorted off of the train."

Like many communal commuter-based agencies, Amtrak does have a policy against obnoxious blathering, specifically in "quiet cars" like the one Beard was annoying her fellow passengers in, again, for 16 hours.
