Police Warn Those Entering Banks About ‘Jugging’
Police are warning those who frequent banks about a new form of robbery called "jugging."
This involves thieves watching those who enter a bank with nothing in-hand but return to their vehicle with an envelope or bank bag.
The person watching then follows the person leaving the bank in hopes that they stop somewhere along the way and leave the contents they retrieved from the bank in the car.
Then, as you may imagine, the thief breaks into the car and steals the money or contents left behind in the car.
Warning, you should NEVER leave anything valuable in your vehicle---You never really know who is watching you.
According to Lake Charles Police, three cases of "jugging" have been reported in the state of Louisiana this week.
