Postal Boxes Sealed in Some Parts of New Orleans

New Orleans has another major problem.

WVUE-TV in New Orleans posted a photo of a couple of drop-off boxes in the city and as you can see here, they are sealed off.

So why are these boxes sealed off? Well, according to WVUE, the mailboxes are sealed because people have been stealing the mail.

It's ironic that we see this picture from New Orleans because just a few days ago I noticed some of the same types of boxes were sealed off here in Lafayette.

Now, I am not suggesting that someone has been stealing mail in Lafayette, but it's ironic that the same type of drop-off boxes was sealed here too.

Remember it is NEVER safe to mail cash to have someone mail cash to you. If you are expecting mail, you should check your mailbox daily.

If you're going to be away from home for a lengthy period of time, have someone check your mail while you're away.

It's sad that you have to do this, but this is the day and age were are in.
