Hurricane Delta wreaked havoc on Acadiana Friday night, leaving thousands of families without power.

LUS spokesman Ryan Dejean tells KPEL News that 60,000 customers lost electricity because of the storm. He says that number is now down to approximately 17,000.

SLEMCO spokeswoman Mary Laurent tell KPEL News that 108,000 customers lost electricity because of the storm. She says that number is down to 69,400.

Entergy spokesman says there are still 42,000 customers in the Acadiana area withouth power.
