Powerball Produces $100,000 Louisiana Holiday Winner

Louisiana Lottery officials have confirmed that a Powerball ticket sold for the December 28th drawing in Louisiana is worth $100,000. The ticket in question matched four of the five white-ball numbers, the Powerball, and the player had opted for the Power Play multiplier too.

The numbers drawn for the December 28th Powerball drawing were: 20, 23, 39, 59 and 60. The Powerball was 18 with a Power Play of 2x. The ticket was sold in Boutte at the Racetrac gas station on U.S. Highway 90.

There was no big jackpot winner in that drawing on December 28th nor was there a big jackpot winner in the Powerball drawing that was held last night. The numbers in the Powerball drawing for January 1st, 2020 were:

49-53-57-59-62, Powerball: 26 ,Power Play: 2x

Lottery officials estimate that the next time the ping pong balls drop in the  Powerball game on Saturday night the jackpot will be $237 million for a single ticket that matches all five of the white ball numbers and the Powerball.
