President Trump met with the family of Spc. Vanessa Guillen, who was slain at Fort Hood in Texas. During the meeting, President Trump agreed to help the family with funeral expenses.

After her disappearance in April from Fort Hood, Spc. Vanessa Guillen's remains were found on July 2, 2020.

In the meeting with Guillen's family yesterday (07/30/20) at the White House, President Trump told the family “It’s an incredible story. It’s a terrible story. So we’re going to look into it very powerfully. We already have started, as you know, and we’ll get to the bottom of it. Maybe things can come out that will help other people in a situation like Vanessa. We’ll be in touch with you constantly.” (brproud.com)

Guillen’s family contends that she was also sexually harassed by the soldier suspected of killing her. As of now, the Army reports there is no evidence to support that claim.

Still waiting for her remains, Guillen's family hasn't been able to hold a funeral for her yet.

President Trump told the family “If I can help you out with the funeral, I’ll help you out, financially, I’ll help you” when the time finally comes according to brproud.com.

Fort Hood soldier Spc. Aaron Robinson, 20 is suspected to have killed and dismembered Guillen. On July 1 Robinson killed himself after being confronted by police.
