Pusha-T Accuses Drake of Hiding a Son on Diss Track “The Story of Adidon”
Pusha-T strikes back after making the first strike to begin with. On Tuesday (May 29), Hot 97 unloaded "The Story of Adidon," the Clipse rapper's scathing new Drake diss delivered over Jay-Z's "The Story of O.J" instrumental. Funkmaster Flex debuted the tune that was later posted to Pusha-T's SoundCloud.
"The Story of Adidon," which appears to be a reference to Drizzy's upcoming Adidon shoe line with Adidas, comes in direct response to the Toronto rapper's previously unleashed diss track, "Duppy Freestyle." On his own ruthless clapback, King Push accuses Drizzy of hiding a son he allegedly had with a porn star. In the new freestyle, Pusha cites Drizzy's name-dropping his fiancé's name—Virginia Williams—as being the reason for this specific part of his clapback.
"Since you name-dropped my fiancée, let 'em know who you chose for your Beyonce/SophieKnowsBetter as your baby mother/Cleaned her up for IG, but the stench is on her/A baby's involved, it's deeper than rap/We talkin' character, let me keep with the facts/You are hiding a child, let that boy come home/Deadbeat muthafucka, playing border patrol/Adonis is your son, and he deserves more than an Adidas press run,” Push spits over the No I.D.-produced track.
Pusha's claims appear to stem from reports that Drizzy got a woman named Sophie Brussaux —known on Instagram as SophieKnowsBetter—pregnant at some point last year. Brussaux has been rumored to be a former porn star, who operated under the name Rosee Divine. The exact nature of Brussaux's work hasn't been confirmed, but she is now said to work as a painter. She gave reportedly gave birth to a baby boy named Adonis earlier this year. The Toronto rapper has yet to speak on the matter.
Pusha also references Drake's mother and father on the song. Calling out Drake's mother Sandi by name, he seems to mention the fact that Drake's dad walked out when he was a young boy and that Sandi would've been left without a husband.
A bit later on in the song, Pusha goes even further below the belt than people thought possible when he made fun of the 6ix God's longtime friend and collaborator, Noah "40" Shebib, for having multiple sclerosis.
In an interesting note, the G.O.O.D. Music president also included an image of Champagne Papi appearing to wear blackface. This image somewhat aligns with Pusha's claim that the OVO boss has never felt Black enough. The image also features the same font Hov used for his "The Story of O.J." cover. Ouch.
Shortly after unloading the actual track, Pusha jumped onto Twitter, where he claimed he didn't alter the image. "Please stop referring to this picture as “artwork”," wrote the Daytona artist."..I’m not an internet baby, I don’t edit images...this is a REAL picture...these are his truths, see for yourself," he wrote, including a link to a photographer's website.
Now that Push has officially clapped back, it feels like only a matter of time before Drake delivers a new diss track of his own. We'll just have to wait and see.
