Looks like Pusha-T will be starting off 2019 the right way — with some new music. In a new interview with Essence, the Daytona rapper revealed his progress with his next project and promised it will be out "soon."

“I’ve got the ideas and some of the foundation already laid," Push told the publication. "It’s coming together and will be out soon. 2018 was pretty great all around for me. It will be hard to top it, but [it’s] not going to stop me from trying.”

Earlier this month, XXL spoke to Pusha-T on the heels of his new venture with 1800 Tequila, and during the conversation, he gave some insight on what we can expect from his new project.

"I’m not doing nothing for real until I come away with a good 10 to 15 joints," he told XXL. "That’s gonna happen all through January, hopefully it don’t go through February. This home-in time gonna be great. That’s what this uninterrupted block is for. My new project gonna be fire."

In addition to new music, Pusha may be starting 2019 with a new award as well. Daytona has been nominated for Rap Album of the Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards, alongside Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy, the late Mac Miller's Swimming, Nipsey Hussle's Victory Lap and Travis Scott's Astroworld. The ceremony will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019.

Based on what Pusha told us, we should hopefully have his new music before then!
