Rae Sremmurd Drops Highly Anticipated Sophomore Album, ‘SremmLife 2′ [LISTEN]
Rae Sremmurd is back at it with their highly anticipated sophomore album, SremmLife 2.
The album was supposed to drop in June but met major delays. However, fans will have to wait no longer since the album is available now.
"We had to get a few more bangers on that joint," said Slim Jimmy in a recent interview with Power 105's The Breakfast Club on the reasons for the delay. But now they're ready to hit that platinum success again.
It's been a year and a half since the hip-hop duo dropped their popular debut album, SremmLife, which gave us hits like "No Flex Zone," "No Type" and the Nicki Minaj and Young Thug-featured "Throw Sum Mo." It's unclear whether or not their latest album will have the same impact though. Fans have heard of taste of the new album with the party-starter song, "Look Alive" as well as other singles like "Do Yoga" and "By Chance," however, neither have yet to break the charts like their previous hits. But the credits suggest there may be some opportunity for them to achieve their previous success, as heavy hitters like Mike WiLL Made-It and DJ Mustard are on production and Gucci Mane, Juicy J, Lil Jon and Kodak Black show up as featured artists.
The duo will take the turn up on the road as well, and they promise that it'll be bonkers.
"We got the most lit tour… It’s the ultimate young n---- tour," said Swae Lee in the same interview, although guest appearances for the tour still haven't been named.
