It's good to be affiliated with the Ragin' Cajun football team this year. After their historic season in 2020, and their amazing win over the University of Texas San Antonio Roadrunners in the ServePro First Responders Bowl on December 26th, the Cajuns are already looking forward to prepping for next year. And yes, that's what a winning team does.

According to a tweet sent out by the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Equipment Room they are seeking student managers for the football team this spring. This sounds like a primo gig, and some of the benefits the press release includes are:

  • Getting a behind the scenes look at college athletics
  • Team Issued Addisas gear
  • Sideline access for home games
  • Opportunities to travel to away games
  • Priority class scheduling
  • Opportunities to earn scholarships
  • Summer employment opportunities

Duties for student managers cover:

  • Setup for practices and games
  • Assist with drills at practice
  • Prepare uniforms each game week
  • Be available to work all home football games
  • Handle gear and equipment following all home games

If you want to apply, you must be enrolled as a full-time student at the university, be in good academic standing, be interested in college athletics, be able to lift 75-100 lbs safely and be available on weekends and weekdays from 2:00 pm -7:00 pm. Email ian.guillotte@louisiana.edu with any questions, or to apply. Good luck, Geuax Cajuns!
