Recalled Ground Beef May Have Been Sold At Local Retailers
Last week the USDA recalled approximately 132,000 pounds of ground beef products.
According to various reports, one person has died as a result of the tainted product and many more were sick after consuming the ground meat.
KATC TV-3 reports that these retailers that may have sold some of the meat that is being recalled: Nationwide locations of Albertson’s/Safeway, Sam’s Club, and Target.
It's important to note here that the meat was processed and packaged by Cargill Meat Solutions in Colorado.
The affected products include 3, 10, and 20-pound packages of ground beef under the brand names Our Certified, Excel, Sterling Silver, Certified and Fire River Farms. The packages had a use or freeze by date of July 11.
