It's summer time and we love going swimming but we don't love the burning red eyes afterwards. So what's making our eyes burn?

The chlorine, right?

According to the Centers for Disease and Control, the burning eyes people get after a day at the pool isn't entirely due to chlorine. It's actually due to the chemical mixing with urine.

Did you know a strong chlorine scent is actually a warning sign? The stronger the chlorine smell, the more germs in the pool. It's actually causing the chemicals to work harder to keep things clean. YUCK!!!
