Hours after Nipsey Hussle's alleged killer was captured and arrested in Bellflower, Calif., Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder dedicated his historic 20-20-20 triple-double to the late rapper.

Westbrook, a native of Long Beach, Calif., entered the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City while rocking a blue Crenshaw t-shirt which stems from Nip's landmark mixtape. During the game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook posted 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists, which led to the Thunder winning the game 119-103. Speaking with reporters after his stellar game, Westbrook dedicated his success to Nip.

"That wasn't for me. That was for my bro. That was for Nipsey. 20 plus 20 plus 20. They know what that means," said Westbrook, seemingly making a reference to the Rolling 60s Crip gang Nipsey belonged to. "Rest in peace to Nipsey, man. I'm just thankful to go out there and compete at a high level, man. Thankful to have these teammates. Thankful and humbled to go out there and play the game I love."

The last person to achieve Westbrook's feat was Wilt Chamberlain in 1968. Some fans believe the player's latest 20-20-20 achievement is no accident. They noted that the numbers seem to symbolize Nipsey's ties to the Rolling 60s Crips.

The amount of tributes made in honor of Nipsey Hussle after his tragic death has been overwhelming, especially from the NBA. On the night Nipsey was shot (March 31), Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry of the Gold State Warriors appeared to learn about the incident minutes before their game started in L.A. After their game against the Charlotte Hornets, Curry commented on Nipsey's death.

"It was tough," Curry said about learning of Nipsey's death. "I was just as surprised as a lot of people. I got to know him last year by having a great conversation about who he was as a person, what he stood for and what his message was, how he tried to inspire people considering where he grew up and how he turned it into something powerful. He represented the entire city though so it's definitely a sad, sad tragic event. I send prayers to his family, his community, to Lauren London. Hopefully, they all stay strong through this."
