Saints Sign Defensive Tackle Tony McDaniel

The New Orleans Saints are bringing back a somewhat familiar face.

The 32-year old McDaniel spent the preseason with the Saints, appearing in all four preseason games, in which he totaled six tackles, before being waived on September 2, prior to the start of the regular season.

The 6-foot-7, 305-pound McDaniel played his college football at Tennessee, prior to spending 11 seasons in the NFL, including stints with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2006-2008), Miami Dolphins (2009-2012), Seattle Seahawks (2013-2014 & 2016), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2015).

A native of Hartsvile, South Carolina, McDaniel has accumulated 275 tackles, including 11.5 sacks over his career.
