Scared Boy’s Reaction to First Day of School Will Break Your Heart

The first day of school is always filled with anxiety.

That's something this boy couldn't hide.

Earlier this week, Los Angeles' KTLA asked four-year-old pre-K student Andrew Macias if he was going to miss his mom while in school. He said no and gave a smile, which quickly turned into tears.

You can bet there are thousands of other kids like Andrew out there going back to school -- you know, they're trying to be brave, but are frightened of the uncertainty that lies ahead.

Andrew's mother gave him a hug off camera because moms make everything better. That should be the first lesson Andrew's class learns this school year.
