School Shooting At Arlington, TX High School, 4 People Were Shot
Sadly there has been another school shooting, four people were reportedly injured. According to CNN, the shooting at Timberview High School in Arlington, TX., and the suspect has been identified as 18-year old Timothy George Simpkins. The performing arts school is currently on lockdown and the shooter was reportedly NOT a student at Timberview. Police have secured the scene, but Simpkins is still at large.
Mansfield Police Chief Tracy Aaron said Simpkins should be considered armed and dangerous. Currently, the authorities are conducting a search of the campus and surrounding areas. Among the injured were three students and one teacher.
It's unclear what his motive was, but a 911 caller was the person who identified him as the shooter. Arlington Police Department Assistant Police Chief Kevin Kolbye said two police officers with Mansfield Independent School District were in the school at the time of the shooting and administered aid to the injured immediately.
Police are asking for the public to help in located Simpkins, adding that if anyone has video of the shooting to contact police to share the info. This is an active case, be sure to watch your local news for an update on the matter.
