Officials with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office and the Scott Police Department said, via press release, road rage is likely what led to a Friday shooting incident.

Someone called the police to tell them someone had shot at them on I-10 while they were driving in the Duson area.

Police investigated, and they arrested 20-year-old Jayvon Thomas Martin of Lafayette. The man was charged with four counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder as there were four people in the victim's car when the perpetrator fired the shots.

When concluding their investigation, officers say they believe that road rage is what led to Martin firing shots at the other car.

It is alleged that Martin was driving in a reckless manner, and when the victim attempted to get away from him, that's when the shots rang out.

No one was injured, but two bullets did end up in the car.
