21yr old singer/songwriter Sean Kingston is in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital after crashing his jet ski into a bridge late yesterday afternoon in Miami. According to Local10.com, Kingston had a female passenger on board who was also transported to Jackson Memorial, but was alert enough to respond to authorities. Kingston's injuries on the other hand are so severe, he is being treated in the trauma ward.

Officials do not believe alcohol was involved in the crash, but they are investigating the cause of the wreck. Reports say that Kingston and his female passenger were rescued by a good Samaritan before the Fire Dept. responded to the scene. Kingston remains in critical condition with friends and family by his bedside. For more details watch the Local 10 video report here.

Kingston recently visited Lafayette, LA while on tour with Justin Bieber last August. He was the nicest guy you could ever meet, interacting with many of our listeners, taking pictures and even letting us come up and hang out on his bus. He even convinced me to give him my iPhone bumper case, as you can see in the video below.

**UPDATE**

As of Monday morning, Kingston's rep confirmed that the singer's condition was stabilized. "Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU. Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time." Officials have also ruled out alcohol and drugs after investigating the accident. Jonathan Rivera, a member of the coast guard, is the hero who saw Kingston and his female passenger in despair. Ironically, it was his day off and Rivera told TMZ about the intense moment where he saw Kingston "puking up blood" and "convulsing". He also described how he held Kingston's head above water until authorities arrived. See more here.
