Acadiana is bracing for some potentially dangerous weather as a front is making its way across the country. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for the Acadiana area until 7:00pm tonight (Monday). The watch area includes all areas from Acadia and St. Landry down through Vermilion and St. Mary parishes. The KATC dopplar radar will begin showing the front as it moves into the state early this afternoon.

Prepare for possible severe weather to start making an impact on travel sometime after 5:00pm and the possibility of conditions favorable for tornado development. The front will push through Acadiana, making way for a drop in temperatures and hopefully humidity as well.
