‘SNL’ Taps Cameron Diaz to Host November 22
Just this past weekend 'SNL' announced that 'The Hunger Games' star Woody Harrelson would return to the stage on November 15, and so too do we know what A-lister will also make a return appearance the following week. 'Annie' star Cameron Diaz will make her own fourth appearance hosting on November 22, but what pair of musical guests can we expect to join her?
Per NBC, Diaz's fourth 'SNL' hosting gig will be flanked by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, performing together for their collaboration on Ronson’s upcoming single “Uptown Funk.” Given Diaz's musical role in the live-action 'Annie' update, we wouldn't rule out a bit of singing on her part, either.
Diaz has made multiple appearances on the long-running NBC sketch comedy series, hosting in 1998, 2002 and 2005, as well as introducing then-boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s musical performance in 2006. Mars also hosted and acted as the musical guest in 2012, so hopefully we might see the performer engage in a bit of crossover this time around as well.
Last Saturday's Chris Rock-hosted hour proved largely uneven, but what do you think? Does November look bright for 'SNL''s 40th anniversary season, now that Cameron Diaz, Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson have entered the mix?
