Solange Quietly Created An Amazing Album At A Small House In New Iberia [VIDEO]
Solange Knowles released a mini-documentary about the creative process behind her latest album, revealing New Iberia played a key part in the project.
A Seat At The Table has been well received and the mini-doc shows Solange recording in her homes—both Long Island and New Orleans—but the most interesting part is that a lot of the songs were actually structured and produced at a small house in New Iberia.
In a Facebook post that shared the video, Solange described the creative process,
It is known that Beyonce and Solange have family roots in the New Iberia area, but the fact that Solange chose to work there shows just how connected she still is to the area.
One thing I've always admired about Solange is that even though she is Beyonce's sister, she has always managed to have a style and a sound of her own.
I definitely recommend you check out her new album, A Seat At The Table when you have a chance—and if anyone recognizes this part of New Iberia, let us know!
